A new study has found that Pennsylvania has a small number of 18-year-olds who are registered to vote.
The study by the Civics Center found only 22 percent of 18-year-olds in the Commonwealth are registered to vote. That’s one of the lowest rates out of the states surveyed.
The Civics Center is advocating for teens to pre-register to vote when they turn 16 like other states do. Oregon is included in that group, and they have 86 percent of 18-year-olds registered.
