Ninna Arlene (Hoover) Stevenson was carried home peacefully in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, on January 1, 2026, at 3:03AM, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 20, 1937, to the late Donavan Rupert Hoover and Edna Belle (Pennington) Hoover. Arlene had one brother, Larry “Butch / Hawkeye” who also preceded her in death and whose
birthday she is celebrating with him in heaven today.
Ninna Arlene married the love of her life, the late Isaiah John “Ike” Stevenson on August 16, 1955.
Surviving are their three children: Isaiah “Jack” Stevenson Jr. and his wife Betsy, Kirby Stevenson and his wife Pam, and Sherri Wood and her husband David, all of Butler. Arlene, affectionately known as “GG” is survived by six grandchildren: Nicole (Christy) Grottenthaler, Ryan (Shannon) Stevenson, Jenna (Nathaniel) Rhodaberger, Abbey (Conlan) Walsh, Brendon Stevenson, and Taylor Stevenson, all of Butler. GG (Great-Grandma) is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren: Lexy and Caleb Grottenthaler; Case and Hadley Stevenson; Simeon, Silas, Miriam, and Mara Rhodaberger; Rachel, Addison, and Isaiah Walsh. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Arlene was an incredible inspiration to her family and to all who knew her. She greeted everyone with warm a smile. She was both kind and generous with her gifts and talents. Arlene’s love language was baking for her family and helping whenever there was a need. Her favorite way to spend her time was with her family and up until two years ago watching her great grandchildren.
Arlene was the manager of RevCo Drug Store in Butler and then continued her managerial career with CVS Pharmacies until her retirement. At which time she continued to work part time at her children’s family business, The Home Improvement Center. There will be a hole in our hearts until we meet you again, but praise God, we know we will see you again!
Friends and family will be received at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler PA 16001, on Sunday January 4, 2026, from 2PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM, with Reverend Richard Jenks and Pastor Andrew Wills officiating.
Private burial in Muddy Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Fellowship Alliance Church.
