Thousands of residents in Butler County were without power this morning.
First Energy estimated that more than 3,300 customers were without power starting around 7 a.m.
The outage also led Dassa McKinney Elementary School in the Moniteau School District to operate on a two-hour delay.
First Energy officials say the outage stemmed from an emergency pole repair near Butler Memorial Hospital. The outages impacted some outlying areas due to how the substations are set up.
Power was soon restored to most homes within an hour.
