Police in Slippery Rock have charged a man after an officer was injured in a chase.
On March 8, police were called to the Sheetz in Slippery Rock around 4 a.m. for a large group gathering with a potential fight about to break out.
When officers arrived on scene they attempted to grab an individual but the suspect was able to escape. An officer attempted to catch the suspect, but suffered a knee injury.
Police were able to track down the suspect and identify them as 20-year-old Eli Perez of Johnsonburg.
He is facing several charged including aggravated assault, evading arrest, and flight to avoid apprehension.
Perez is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
