Public health officials say the state is continuing to see a decline in overdose deaths.
New numbers from Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration say overdose deaths have gone down by nearly 30 percent since 2022.
Officials in the administration cite the expansion of naloxone availability as one of the primary reasons.
Recently, Butler County made naloxone available and free for the public inside the courthouse and government center.
