Attorney General Dave Sunday has joined a federal lawsuit that claims a ride-share company allegedly deceived state residents.
The Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit against Uber Technologies, which claims the ride-share and delivery company deceived those who signed up for the Uber One subscription.
The company claims the subscription would save consumers money, but according to the lawsuit the company misled users about the amount they could save.
A trial date is set for February 2027 and Sunday is seeking restitution, as well as penalties, costs, and an injunction against Uber for alleged violations of Pennsylvania’s Consumer Protection Act and the U.S. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act.
