The Pennsylvania Department of Health has provided an update on measles cases in Pennsylvania.
The DOH reports on Wednesday that 43 new measles cases have been confirmed since Monday.
In total, 835 people have been infected, 164 people have been hospitalized, 39 counties have at least one reported case, four people have had a measles-associated death, and four vaccinated people have been infected, but that makes up less than one percent of cases.
Health officials advise everyone over the age six to be fully vaccinated with both doses to drastically reduce chances of hospitalization. More information can be found online through the state website’s Measles Dashboard.
