As part of the fight against overdose deaths, the Wolf Administration is announcing plans to give free naloxone to airports across the state.
It will be stored with AED machines and first aid kits at the airport. Health officials also suggested that all airport personnel are trained to both carry and administer the medication.

“Although we are proud of the work we’ve done to decrease overdose deaths across the state, even one overdose death is too many,” Smith said. “A key component to decreasing deaths is permeating naloxone in every Commonwealth community and public venue.”
Naloxone is a life-saving medication that reverses the effects of an overdose.
