Paul E. Dimun, Sr., 90, of Butler, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Newhaven Court at Clearview.
Born June 29, 1935, in Lyndora, he was a son of the late Michael Dimun and Julia Russin Dimun.
Paul was employed as a furnace tender at Butler Armco. He retired in August, 1996, with 38 years of service,
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. He belonged to American Legion Post 778, and he loved to golf and travel.
He is survived by four sons, Paul E. Dimun, Jr., of Butler, Scott M. Dimun of Virginia Beach, Va., James S. Dimun, of Butler, and Chris D. Dimun and his wife, Melissa, of Butler; three granddaughters, Susan Dimun,, Katelyn Perry, and Michaela Dimun; three grandsons, Tommy Dimun and his wife, Bea, David Dimun and his wife, Laura; and Jake Dimun; two great-grandchildrean, Leah and Willow; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Sutton Dimun, whom he married June 30, 1956, and who passed away Oct. 9, 2000; three brothers, Michael, Harry, and Jack Dimun; and two sisters, Helen Dimun and Mary Nemceff.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home Downtown, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Friday, Nov. 14, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St., Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded at the church by American Legion Post 778, VFW Post 249, and VFW Post 499.
Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
