The state has issued grant funding to allow counties to pay for support services for victims of crime.
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, or PCCD, awarded a grant to the Butler County Commissioners for just over $160,000 to help fund the local Victim Witness Program.
Another grant in the amount of $125,000 will go to the Victim Outreach Intervention Center (VOICe) while the Butler County Alliance for Children will receive a grant for $50,000.
A total of $73 million has been disbursed across the state to help counties support survivors through funding for county victim/witness offices, victim service providers, and children’s advocacy centers.
