The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing spring road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include pipe replacement on Route 528 Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township as well as crack sealing along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.
Patching will take place on Hohn Farm Road and Center Drive in Oakland Township, while mill and fill is planned for Parker Pike in Allegheny Township, along with Kittanning Pike and Annisville Road in Parker Township.
Mowing and shoulder cutting is planned for Route 19 in Cranberry Township and West Beaver Street in Zelienople Borough, along with Winfield Road in Winfield Township and Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township.
Finally, in Clinton and Buffalo Townships, PennDOT officials say there will be utility work happening on Route 228 (Ekastown Road) between Saxonburg Boulevard and Sarver Road starting tomorrow (Monday). Crews will need to make temporary lane closures, which will have flaggers controlling traffic. The work is expected to last until October.
