Last night the senate voted to approve the debt ceiling bill 63-36 as Pennsylvania’s Senators split their vote.
Senator Bob Casey voted for the bill. While newly elected Senator John Fetterman voted against it. Senator Fetterman issued a statement on Twitter last night on why he did not vote for the bill “I did not agree to these SNAP (benefit) restrictions.”
The bill will now head to President Biden’s desk and he’s expected to sign the bill.
