Philip A Triggs, 99, formerly of Butler, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
He was born September 5, 1925 in Madison WI., a son of the late William R. Triggs and Phyllis (Tincham) Triggs. He had lived in Monroeville for 40 years prior to moving to Butler.
He retired from Frito Lay after 24 years of service in 1988. He also worked for Sears & Borden’s in Madison WI.
Philip served in the United States Navy and Seabees from June of 1944 until June of 1946.
He is survived by his son Thomas, and wife Linda, also son Norman.
His daughter Diane and husband Charles.
5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A son-in-law, Richard Becker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Triggs; 2 daughters Mary Ellen Triggs and Cathy Becker; 5 brothers Donald, Raymond, Stephen, Stanley and Gregory.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road in Meridian. Burial will be in Northside Cemetery, Butler.
