Pine Richland School District is rescinding a policy that impacted the book selection for libraries.
The controversial policy was first put in place three years ago after a group of residents asked the district to review books they found to be sexually explicit.
The policy has now been through multiple iterations, but the school board voted 6-2-1 earlier this week to completely nix the book policy.
School officials say they are comfortable that librarians are trained to properly select books for the school.
