Former Pirates outfielder and 1978 National League MVP Dave Parker died Saturday at the age of 74. Parker had a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Nicknamed “The Cobra”, Parker won two World Series, including the 1979 World Series with the Pirates. He was a two-time batting champion and a seven-time All-Star. Parker retired as one of just five players with at least 500 doubles, 300 home runs, 150 steals and 2,700 hits.
