The Pittsburgh Pirates reportedly have made an offer to free agent designated hitter Kyle Schwarber. According to The Athletic, the Pirates have offered Schwarber a four-year deal worth over $100.

San Francisco Giants infielder Jeff Kent was named to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. He was selected to the hall by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee, which is a different group compared to the writers that also make an annual selection. Barry Bonds was nominated, but did not secure enough votes.
