The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-2 last night in Bradenton. Bubba Chandler allowed just one hit and one run over five innings. He walked one and struck out eight. The lone run he allowed was a home run in the third inning. The Pirates starting lineup was no-hit for the first six innings of the game. Substitutions in the game compiled all five runs in the eighth inning.
The Pirates visit Detroit in Lakeland, Florida for another night game tonight at 6:05pm.
The Pirates host Baltimore at 1:05pm Saturday. They visit Tampa Bay in Port Charlotte Sunday at 1:05pm, as they head into their final full week of the preseason.
