Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Butler man two years after they say he was in possession of a large number of drugs and cash.
In October 2023, police stopped a vehicle with tinted windows on West Wayne Street in Butler City.
The driver of the vehicle, 44-year-old Jason Stephenson, was known to the officer for previous arrests related to drugs.
Stephenson received a warning for the tinted windows. When officers asked if anything illegal was in the vehicle Stephenson stated there was not and agreed to a search.
The search produced a “brick” of heroin and $3,000 cash.
Stephenson was charged with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and several other drug charges.
He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on nominal bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
