Officials have released more information on a crash that saw one person flown to a Pittsburgh hospital late last week.
On Friday, just before 2:30 p.m. Butler Township Police were called to New Castle Road near the VA for a reported two vehicle accident.
According to police, a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Jacob Stewart of Butler attempted to make a left turn out of Benevan Square. While attempting the turn, a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Ronald Moore of Karns City collided with Stewart.
Moore was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, while a passenger in his vehicle and in Stewart’s vehicle were transported to a local hospital.
Stewart was arrested on suspicion of a driving under the influence. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
