A local lawmaker is raising awareness about the value of agricultural education.
U.S. Congressman Mike Kelly recently co-sponsored a House Resolution which recognizes this week as National Future Farmers of America Week.
In his statement about support for the resolution, Kelly pointed to the time he spent working on his family’s farm as a child as well as “the hard work and sacrifice local farm families make to put food on our tables each and every day”.
The National FFA Organization is a congressionally chartered school-based national youth leadership organization of more than 1,042,245 student members as part of 9,400 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Washington DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
