Robert Lee Henry, age 62, of Evans City, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 18,2026, while on hospice care following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 26,1963 in Braddock, Allegheny County; he was the son of the late Donald and Evelyn Pennington Henry.
Robert lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and extraordinary ability to overcome any challenge set before him. If something was broken, he could fix it; if a problem seemed unsolvable, he found a way. His vast mechanical knowledge and love of working with his hands were among his defining gifts.
He spent countless hours in his garage, his true element, finding purpose in figuring out how things worked and taking great pride in solving even the most complicated mechanical puzzles. Robert also enjo9yed the grounding pleasures of life: camping, fishing, being outdoors, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. A devoted fan through and through, he rarely missed a game and wore his black and gold with pride.
Tough on the outside with a heart of gold, he was the strongest and toughest man his family had ever known.
Robert is survived by his wife Emide Cipriani Henry; children Tara (Evan) Henry of Pittsburgh, Sean Wright of Pittsburgh, Anthony Henry of Pittsburgh, Damian Schanz of Pittsburgh, Joseph Schanz of Butler, Corey Wright of Punxsutawney, Kellie (Abby) Henry of Butler; his grandchildren Zakkary, Ay’Maree, Jayden, Jocelyn, Anthony, Tyler, Alexandra, Liam, and Owen; his siblings Roy (Valerie) Henry of Newark, Ohio, Ronald Henry of Murrysville, and Richard (Tammy) Henry of Seattle, Washington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother Raymond Henry.
Cremation services are entrusted to the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect. A private family service is being held, and a celebration of life will be planned, with details to be shared with family and friends.
Robert’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, th4e problems he solved, and the immeasurable love and strength he leaves behind.
