The Robert Morris men’s basketball team defeated Youngstown State 68-53 last night at the UPMC Events Center in Moon. The Colonials are two wins away from returning to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year. They will meet #3-seeded Detroit in Indianapolis Monday at 9:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPN2. The Colonials swept the regular-season games against the Titans – winning a road game 85-77 on January 2nd. Robert Morris won the home game against Detroit in late February 73-62.
The Pitt men’s basketball team fell 75-74 last night to Florida State. The Panthers trailed 46-30 by halftime, but mounted a second-half comeback, before falling short. Pitt will visit Syracuse Saturday, and must win in order to make the ACC Tournament. Game time Saturday is 4:30pm.
