Ross C. Newell, 38, of Butler passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born in Butler on December 24, 1987, to Dennis Newell and Roxann (Howryla) Ochsenhirt. Ross graduated from Butler High School and then attended BC3 and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
Growing up he played baseball for Center Twp. Ross enjoyed spending time outdoors; snowboarding, riding dirt bikes and quads, and hanging out with friends. Playing golf, riding his motorcycle, driving and working on his cars were his favorite past times.
Ross is survived by his parents, Dennis Newell and Roxann (Robert) Ochsenhirt; aunts and uncles: Pam (John) Cajka, Rick (Debbie) Newell, Jonathan Newell and John A. Howryla; cousins, Kelsie, Tim, Kristen and Kathy. He is also survived by his constant companion, his dog, Riley.
He will forever be loved and missed.
Ross was preceded in death by his grandparents; John and Marie Howryla and Bud and Bessie Newell.
