A Saxonburg man is facing charges after he tried to break into a Jefferson Township home this past weekend.
On Sunday, police were called to the 500 block of Dinnerbell Road for an attempted break-in. When officers arrived, the resident of the home accused 26-year-old Jacob Ward of banging on a basement door attempting to get in.
According to charging documents, Ward believed that home was his grandparents’ home and he lives with his grandparents. Police say Ward was highly intoxicated.
Ward has been charged with burglary, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Butler County Prison and his bail was set at $2,000.
