Senator John Fetterman is sponsoring a bipartisan bill that looks to add a popular grocery store item to SNAP benefits.
The bill would allow people to use SNAP funds to buy rotisserie chicken from stores.
Fetterman says the chicken is widely available and a great affordable option for families on a budget.
The proposed bill is in response to a guideline that doesn’t allow SNAP benefits to be used for hot prepared foods.
