PIHL Hockey Playoffs:
–The defending league and state champion Seneca Valley hockey team defeated Upper St. Clair 5-1 last night in the Class 3A quaterfinals. The undefeated Raiders will meet the winner of tonight’s game between North Allegheny and Pine-Richland in the semifinals March 9th.
–Mars reached the Class 1A semifinals after a 4-1 win over Plum last night. Grant Weaver netted a hat trick for the Planets, who will await the winner of this Thursday’s game between Quaker Valley and Chartiers Valley.
Tonight:
–Butler will face Canon-McMillan at the Printscape Arena at Southpointe tonight in the Class 1A quarterfinals. Face-off is 7pm.
