Governor Josh Shapiro is laying out his plan to help with housing costs in the state.
It’s an extensive 10-year plan that Shapiro believes will boost home construction and affordability.
Over the last decade, the average home price in Pennsylvania has increased by more than $75,000.
Shapiro’s plan includes a $1 billion critical infrastructure fund that would support home construction and preservation of existing housing.
It also calls for renter protections, limits in rent lot increases, and developing a new position in the Department of Community and Economic Development.
