The Slippery Rock University football team completed a dramatic comeback to defeat #12-ranked Minnesota Duluth 45-43 in double overtime last night at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Last year’s starting quarterback DaOne Owens entered the game after an injury to starting quarterback Brad Hoffman and led a comeback from a 30-14 deficit. The game ended when Owens scrambled for a two-point conversion in the second overtime after the Rock defense stopped the Bulldogs on their two-point conversion.
The Rock will return to play in East Stroudsburg Saturday night September 12th.
