A local organization is holding a public reading and author recognition event this weekend in Butler.
Participants in a series of recent creative writing workshops will be reading from an anthology titled “Rediscovering Your Story” at a reception Saturday at 4 p.m. at Butler SUCCEED on North Main Street.
The Substance Use Disorder Team at the Institute for Nonprofit Leadership at Slippery Rock University worked with those in recovery from addiction or mental health issues to reflect on lessons learned.
The Butler County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness assisted with this project. Copies of the anthology will be available for purchase with proceeds used to conduct future writing workshops
