Students at Slippery Rock University will have the chance to participate in the first ever all-campus video gaming tournament.
The Conference Services Department of the Smith Student Center is hosting an e-sports tournament from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the SSC Ballroom.
This event will allow SRU students to take on one another at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which is a game using the Nintendo Switch console. Gaming equipment will be provided and up to four games will be played concurrently on separate screens with one large screen displaying all the action.
The SRU e-sports club has gone from 15 members when it was formed two years ago to nearly 100 students today. This activity is part of the ongoing Rock the Weekend series of programming sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership.
Students interested in participating should register online.
