The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team were eliminated from the PSAC tournament following a 78-70 loss in the road at Seton Hill last night. The Rock concludes their season 17-12 overall. The Griffins move on to face Millersville Wednesday in the PSAC quarterfinals.
The SRU women’s track & field team won their third straight PSAC Indoor championship over the weekend at Lehigh University. The Rock also took home one of the major awards after the competition when Butler graduate Jennifer Cichra was named the women’s Champion Scholar Award winner. She and Slippery Rock’s Jonathan Weiss swept the academic awards for owning the highest GPA’s of all athletes competing over the weekend. Both earn perfect 4.0 GPAs.
