Butler County municipalities as well as a local organization will receive state funding in order to make sewer and road improvements.
According to State Representative Marci Mustello:
- Clearfield Township will receive $500,000 to reconstruct 2.6 miles of Clearfield Road including replacement of culverts and inlets, resurfacing the road, and improving drainage.
- Oakland Township has been awarded $400,000 for road enhancement and preservation projects.
- Saxonburg Area Authority has been chosen to collect nearly $500,000 to replace two remaining vitrified clay sewer lines on Carol Drive and Beatty Drive with PVC pipe.
According to State Representative Stephanie Scialabba:
- Jackson Township has been awarded $400,000 to construct a pedestrian bridge, extend a trail and widen Hartmann Road.
- Ogle View Corner LLC will receive $400,000 for roadway, intersection and pedestrian infrastructure improvements on Route 19 and Ogle View Road in Cranberry Township.
- Municipal Water Authority of Adams Township and Evans City Borough will receive $300,000 for waterline and stormwater projects.
- Mars Borough will receive $200,000 for a stormwater study and Harmony Borough Water Authority has been awarded $100,000 for a chlorine contact loop project.
This funding is made possible through the Multimodal Transportation Fund administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
