A select number of liquor licenses will be up for grabs during an upcoming auction.
A new law requires the LCB to hold an “excess auction” where expired restaurant liquor licenses are put up for auction.
Applications require a minimum bid of $25,000. Each bid will also require a $5,000 to ensure bid surety.
The law also says that since Butler County is a fourth-class county, a fee of $50,000 would be assessed since the license is transferring counties.
Bids will need to be in by June 15th.
More info is available on the LCB’s website.
