Students at Slippery Rock High School had to evacuate the cafeteria Friday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 1 p.m. for heavy smoke coming from the cafeteria.
Crews from Slippery Rock were among those arriving to find a small roof fire caused by ongoing construction. It was quickly put out and the firefighters cleared the scene a short time later.
A Slippery Rock ambulance was called to treat at least one person for unknown issues.
