There is still time for eligible families to submit applications for a summer food program for children.
The SUN Bucks Summer Food Program provides additional funds to families whose children would otherwise miss school meals during the summer. This is the second year of this program.
Families that already have SNAP benefits, are on Medicaid, or have children qualified for free or reduced priced lunches are already eligible. This program uses federal funds to provide a one-time payment for households of $40 per summer month ($120 total) per eligible child.
The deadline to submit this application is Sunday. Access the application online through the PA Department of Human Services website or at local county assistance offices.
