A suspect is in custody following a bank robbery in Armstrong County.
The alleged robbery happened at the NexTier Bank on Route 422 in Manor Township yesterday afternoon.
The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Robert Beers of Kittanning. Details on the robbery have not been released, but Beers allegedly fled on an ATV to a home in Manor Township.
Police eventually surrounded Beers at a home. According to witnesses, he was armed during that time.
Beers was then taken into custody about an hour later.
No NexTier employees were injured and the branch was closed for the day.
