A group of local students will be joining in an effort to help beautify Cranberry Township later this week.
First Energy Corp. is donating 200 trees and around 50 Seneca Valley students from Ryan Gloyer Middle School will be planting them as part of a Tree Planting Blitz on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Cranberry Township Public Works department is assisting with this project in conjunction with 12 of the township’s homeowners associations.
While learning about planting trees and the value of green space, students will also rake leaves and pick up litter in common areas.
