After several attempt to acquire information from the ATF through letters, the Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump has subpoenaed the ATF.
The task force sent two letters to the ATF asking for testimony from two ATF employees about the response to the July 13 assassination attempt. After two requests have gone unfilled, the Task Force has issued a subpoena.
Shortly after the subpoena was issued, the ATF cooperated with the task force and made its first set of documents available.
One of the subpoenas is for an agent that participated in the agency’s response to the July 13th rally and the other is a supervisory agent.
