Thomas S. Stotish Sr, 92, of Butler passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born in Punxsutawney, PA on April 10, 1933, to the late Stanley and Della (Noga) Stotish. Thomas graduated from Butler High School in 1951 and honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service he worked at AK Steel until his retirement in 1996.
He was known for being a loving husband, wonderful father, a jokester and having a great sense of humor. Thomas loved music, he played saxophone in numerous bands; he was skilled in carpentry and was an excellent woodworker. Thomas enjoyed stock car racing and loved to spend time with his family.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Alice “Becky” (Bowser) Stotish, for 74 years, since their marriage on December 24, 1952; father of Thomas Stotish Jr; brother of Genevieve Kovach and Donna Shramwick; grandfather of Amanda and Christopher Stotish; great grandfather of Hannah, Summer and Leah Shroads.
Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Johnson, his sister, Dorothy Soule and his great granddaughter, Gwendolyn Shroads.
