The Butler Transit Authority will finally be receiving a repaired coach bus that was damaged in a crash a couple years ago.
According to Executive Director John Paul, the commuter bus has been undergoing repairs in Illinois for the past two years.
After about $300,000 in repairs to a bent frame and wiring among other issues, the bus is expected to arrive back in Butler late this week or early next week. The authority did not have to pay any money as a result of this incident, but the warranty coverage has continued to run.
This situation left the Authority with only one spare bus along with the four that run regular routes.
