Update: Statewide 911 Outage Has Been Resolved

According to Butler County PA Emergency Services, the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania experienced a 911 system outage yesterday. They now announce that the statewide 911 system appears to be operational, and emergency services in Butler County can once again be reached by dialing or texting 9-1-1. However, if you dial 9-1-1 and are unable to get through for any reason, please IMMEDIATELY dial 724-282-1221 to reach emergency services. This ensures you can connect during an emergency, even if a rare or isolated issue with 911 persists for your call. Governor Shapiro’s office states that teams are still investigating the root cause of the issue. An independent, thorough review will be performed to determine what can be done to mitigate future outages.
