At least one person was seriously injured as a result of an accident Friday afternoon in East Butler.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 4 p.m. for a crash at the intersection of Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road.
Crews from East Butler and Herman responded to the scene to find a person requiring emergency air transport to Pittsburgh so a Life Flight helicopter was called to land at the Herman Fire Station.
Traffic did need to be diverted from the area for a time to allow crews to clear the scene.
