UPMC is laying off hundreds of employees.
The Pittsburgh-based health care giant announced they were laying off 200 employees and eliminated another 300 open positions earlier this week.
UPMC officials said in a statement the moves come as they look to “match the needs of our patients and members.”
The statement said many of the job cuts were in non-clinical positions.
