Shane Van Gisbergen continued his dominance on Nascar road courses with his second straight Cup Series victory Sunday in Sonoma, California. He led 97 of the 110 laps of the race, winning from the pole position. He now has four career Cup Series wins, all on road courses. The 97 laps he led, breaks the Sonoma record set by Jeff Gordon on 92 in 2004.
He is now the fastest driver in Cup Series history to win four races, topping Parnelli Jones – who did it in 31 races in 1967.
The Cup Series drivers head to Dover, Delaware this Sunday.
