A home was destroyed in a fire last Friday in Venango Township.
Crews were called to a home in the 100 block of Eakin Road around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
When firefighters got on scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the chimney. It was soon elevated to a three-alarm fire.
Additional crews were also called in to help battle the blaze.
They were able to get the fire knocked down, but the house is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
