Violet Rihel

Violet Rihel, 87, of Butler passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was born in East Butler on March 4, 1938, to the late Russell Crispin and Florence (Foust) Anthony. Violet attended Butler High School and was the owner of a commercial cleaning company “Rainbow Janitorial”. She was known for being very hardworking, loved to spend time with her family and studying her Bible. Violet was the beloved wife of Lawrence Rihel, since their marriage on September 25, 1965; Mother of Melanie Schuler, Lawrence (Shirley), David (Rochelle) and Micheal (Gloria Vincent) Rihel; grandmother of Nicole (David), Mark (Shayla), Michael, Nathan, Tyler and Jeffrey; great grandmother of Mason, Mia and Maren; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Rihel (2023), and her siblings, Melvin, Gerald and Ronald Crispin, and Louise Curtis. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM.
