William J. “Billy” Lingenfelter

William J. “Billy” Lingenfelter, 70, of Butler passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was born in Butler on July 19, 1955, to the late William and Carol (Gonda) Lingenfelter. After high school, William honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a union roofer, and member of Local 37. William was known for being always willing to help his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed being outdoors; from hunting and fishing to landscaping and gardening, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and cooking. Father of BreeAnn (Brent) Beckstein; brother of Kathy (Guy) Smith, Carol (Raymond) Herrock and Robin Lingenfelter; grandfather of Bryson, Bryar, Brynn Beckstein; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
