The National Weather Service is issuing a wind advisory for the day.
The wind will be steady out of the west at about 15 to 30 miles per hour, and could gust as high as 50 miles per hour at times.
There have been a number of trees and wires down as a result of the gusty winds.
There are now just over 170 homes without power. At one point, nearly 2,000 customers lost power—many were in Center Township after a tree fell onto a wire along North Benbrook Road.
The wind advisory will remain in effect through 1 a.m.
