Winter weather is impacting travel in the northern part of the county.
Reports of several accidents on I-79 starting to come into the Butler County 911 Center not long after 10 a.m.
The accidents happened starting around the Slippery Rock exit and working north.
One accident happened with a vehicle into a guardrail in the southbound lane of I-79 near mile marker 105 in Worth Township.
There was also an accident around 10:30 a.m. when a van went off I-79 and rolled over in Lawrence County near mile marker 108.
PennDOT is also issuing a speed restriction on I-80 in Clarion and Jefferson Counties.
Crews say the roads are getting “nasty” at this point and urge caution while traveling.
