A woman is facing charges after she allegedly fled police while under the influence.
State police say they attempted to pull over 41-year-old Nicole Smith of Evans City Friday night on Route 422 in Summit Township.
The Smith initially stopped, but then took off. Police say a short pursuit happened, but she eventually pulled over at the Pacific Pride gas station.
Police say the Smith showed signs of impairment; she was charged with fleeing or eluding police, several DUI and driving offenses, and was released on nonmonetary bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 26.
